- I think I should go into hibernation every winter. I’m phenomenally good at sleeping for long periods of time. In addition to that, I don’t retain heat.
- You know there are people who are just walking space heaters? They just radiate heat all day long. I should be a walking air conditioner. The air surrounding me is a proven 5 degrees cooler than the rest of the atmosphere. **
- Young people like Barack Obama because of his potential to make change happen. For most of my life, I’ve been told that I need to look outside old conventions to be able to do something new and innovative. Hillary Clinton represents the old school, the old convention. Not only that, but she’s also a petulant bitch. Besides, she makes comments about how there’s been too much Bush for too long. So, why would we really want ANOTHER Clinton? Just sayin.
- I hate being political. I’m just plain averse to it. My last stint in politics was in 9th grade. I ran for Student Council Representative. I won once before, in 4th grade. And I was completely awful at it. I don’t know why I ran a 2nd time, nor why any of my classmates even nominated me.
- I hate when I come up with a series of awesome ideas for a post, but by the time I get to the computer, I’ve forgotten half of them.
**NOTE: It’s not really scientifically proven. Be smart about this.

We found your resume and are very impressed! We believe you have the qualifications we’re looking for to fill our open insurance agent position.
We’re looking for candidates who are ambitious, intelligent and have a strong work ethic to join our Career Agent family. Regardless of the type of work you’ve been doing or how long you’ve been doing it for, if you’re motivated and looking to start a career with an excellent income opportunity, you might be just who we’re looking for!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t they initially ‘impressed’ by the resume. Yet, in the second bit, they don’t really care what has been done or how long it’s been done for.
Someone needs an editor.

My new machine is here! I feel like I’m geeking out. It’s nothing too special… I mean, nothing like a gaming machine (although, I will eventually own one of those). But it’s definitely miles above what I am working with currently and what I used to have (you poor virus ridden HD you).
Dell Vostro 200
Intel DualCore 2GHz
Vista Home Basic (well, I know it’s a pain, but if the OS is unavoidable, I might as well practice at home)
160G HD (which isn’t a huge issue. I have externals)
22 inch widescreen LCD (omg squee)
black (practically a necessity)
Geeking out may turn to freaking out in the near future though. The space where my other machine sits… has been overrun with my clutter. And clothes. I will eventually get into how cramped my available closet space is. But it scarcely rivals how cramped my ‘tech space’ aka my desk is. No, there will be no pictures.
I’ve got iPod speaker (Bose, of course), other iPods, cable box, old desktop (HP), TV (32 inch Bravia), decrepit printer (hasn’t had an ink refill in YEARS (minimum 6), various chargers, camera, other phone. Inevitably other bits of tech that aren’t mine also end up here. Like our GPS. Don’t know how that managed to travel from the garage up here.
At any rate. I’ll wait till my inner geek child has calmed, and then we can commence the setup.

‘if you don’t want to slip, wear non-slip shoes’
’sleep!’
‘…’
’sleep is too long to type!’

Hello responsible and mature hair color. Or welcome back. Or something of the sort.
Jet black, really. But I haven’t had that hair color in YEARS. So I guess it’s kind of a big deal. Remind me to post before and afters.

… is buried in a bowl of rice. Someone was nice enough to give me a link on what to do if your phone goes for a swim. The rice thing makes sense, since rice is rather absorbent. It’s been one day. 2 more days to wait.
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. Bleh. But I got some nice flowers, and my boyfriend over for a small pasta dinner. I’ll try to remember to get pictures of the flowers, including this most curious green chrysanthemum. At least I think it’s a mum.
I’ve gone and misplaced my camera. I had some gorgeous post-snowfall shots from earlier this week. It shouldn’t be too hard to recover. It’s not like I went and took it out of the house or something.

, Phone.
To some people, this isn’t a huge deal since they drop their phones into the toilet on a near regular basis. But this is the FIRST time I’ve done this, in 7.5 years of owning/having a cell phone. So, to me, this is practically a world-shattering event.
I call Technology (rather, Texting) Vacation!

Back for a week, and look what happens. At least it’s not the 2 ft. But, somehow, a bit more than an inch (that melts as soon as it hits the street) is disappointing. The cold yesterday finally feels justified.

But there isn’t. And I’m beginning to forget what comes when. Here’s another smattering of the pretty.

Calachuchi — easily my favorite flower in the world. I wish I could have taken home a whole bouquet and then some with me — but I can’t. I managed to catch this one as it fell from the tree. Its scent was already gone. They smell like a bit of heaven.

You probably know it better as plumeria… Anyway, since at this point, the sickness was upon us (not quite me yet), under the cut are some more bits of the prettiness.

I think it was Monday. But I almost forgot one from Sunday. A Filinvest kind of view.

And yet more….
