Holy crap. I missed both the first day of May and the fact that it’s no longer April. And the unalterable and undeniable fact that Mother’s Day is around the corner. And with that — my mom’s birthday. Two separate days this year. Which means two separate presents, since none of our family are cheap enough to cheat someone out of one day of presents when they have two “holidays” all to themselves.
